Three women in a Marseille apartment are trapped in a heatwave. The temperatures are rising in the South of France, the air in Marseille is boiling, and people are advised to stay home and enjoy each other’s company.

However, Denise is fed up with her abusive husband, who is constantly hungry, so she stabs him with a shovel and then strangles him on the balcony. This is how the story begins, but Denise is not the main character: the plot revolves around three younger women, Nicole, Ruby and Elise, who decide to have a little get-together on Nicole’s balcony that evening and never stop.
But she doesn’t seem to care about genre, what she cares about is getting her message across clearly
She is not afraid to combine all existing film genres into one: horror, love story, thriller, drama, comedy, etc. She says, no, she screams, she yells, she screams: many women are raped, violated, humiliated, oppressed and blamed for being victims every day by men, most of whom are their boyfriends, husbands or neighbors.

Noémie does not want them to succeed, nor does her grotesque characters, who will find their liberation and they do not care at what cost. A surprising, disgusting, graphic and very confident debut.
