In THE GUTTER, oft-fired Walt (Shameik Moore) feels like he’s finally found a home when he gets a job as a bartender and shoeshine boy at his local bowling alley, AlleyCatz. When AlleyCatz gets strapped for cash, Walt is pressured by former pro bowler and current drinking master Skunk (D’Arcy Carden) to embrace his role as the greatest bowler of all time. While Walt’s penchant for big checks and direct style of play dominate the pro tour, his critics, including ratings-obsessed news anchor Angelo Powers and recently-retired bowling legend Linda “The Crusher” Curson (Susan Sarandon), desperately try to snuff out Walt’s flame before it burns too brightly.
