Welcome to Classic Play, a place where having kids is cool. You’ll find parenting, travel ideas, art projects, thoughts on being creative and more. You’ll also find a collection of clever kids’ crafts, fun recipes and other families like you who are encouraging the next generation to grow up curious, creative and connected.

Who’s behind this site? My name is Jennifer Cooper. I write, doodle and come up with ridiculous ideas all day long. Classic Play is my happy place where we (me and an incredible team of contributors) celebrate family.

I started off my career as a behaviorally-trained early interventionist teaching kids how to talk, read, ride bikes, and play. When I became pregnant with my second child, I left the field and in 2005 formed a small toy company with my mom and sister called Ellie Bellie Kids. I created Classic Play! in 2007. It started as a downloadable pdf for EBK customers. In 2010, we moved Classic Play! online.
