Endless Summer Projects | Summer Banner
by Jennifer Cooper, posted on May 14th, 2014 in Endless Summer Projects
Can you believe Summer is almost here? I have the honor of kicking off this year’s Endless Summer Projects! This year we have three themes that we’ll explore: hands-on, outdoor and travel. Every Wednesday, each of us will take turns hosting a project within that theme.
I wanted to start off with something light and fun to get the summer vibe going. Plus, I don’t know if you’re like me, but I find the end of the year a mad dash of errands, gifts, and assemblies. The last thing I want to do is create something complicated. Eek!
This end of year banner is easy, doesn’t require a lot of set up (I’d say about 5 minutes?) and is a sweet little tradition the kids will remember forever.
You’ll need:
Roll of Crepe Paper Streamer
Tape
Scissors
PDF Printable
1. Print out PDF.
2. Cut out letter tiles
3. String a length of crepe paper streamer across the entrance to your front door. Tape to jam.
4. Tape tiles to crepe paper.
5. Get the camera ready.
6. Now let the kids run through the banner on their last day of school!
About Endless Summer Projects
Now through August, I’m teaming up with my friends Melissa aka Lulu the Baker, Alexandra Hedin, MJ from Pars Caeli and Amy from This Heart of Mine to bring you give you guys 15 glorious weeks of projects over the next few months. We’ll be spending a few weeks in a makers’ workshop, then take our fun outdoors, and finally hit the road for a giant summer road trip! Visit any of our blogs on Wednesdays for a new project each week.
