One of my favorite parts of fall is the fabulous foliage. This year I decided to come up with a creative way to play with the fallen leaves. This little craft is part nature hunt, part art project, part toy, and all kinds of fun! I hope you and your kids have as much fun as we did creating and playing with our leaf stick puppets.

Step one
Go on a nature hunt! Collect a handful of fall leaves and a little bundle of sticks.

Step two
Press your leaves in a heavy book for a day or two. Then glue them to card stock.

Step three
Get artsy! Draw faces on your leaves.

Step four
Cut them out.

Step five
Tape a stick to the back of each leaf.

Step six
Play! Let your imagination run wild.
